First Home Owners Quantum Package VIC

The Victoria First Home Owners’ Grant is a state government initiative to help first home owners to get their new first home sooner. From 1st of July 2018, you’ll get $10,000 towards buying or building your new Alston Apartment. Quantum will also provide you with $10,000 bonus to match VIC Grant. You will also get savings on Stamp Duty of up to $28,018.

The amount you get in SD rebate differs depending on the price of the property you are buying:

  • Properties valued up to $500,000 Rebate is $8,750 (the maximum rebate you can get).
  • Properties valued at between $500,000 to $550,000: You’ll pay some stamp duty but the reduction in costs is at a reduced rate. For example, a property valued at $505,000 : the stamp duty you would normally pay is $8,925, with the Quantum FHO Package you would only pay $1,050 (a saving of $7,875). However, Quantum will PAY ALL THE REMAINING DEDUCTIONS on selected apartments.
  • Purchase price $550,000 or more: Once the purchase price is $550,000 or higher, the first home owner rebate cuts out so you’ll be charged the same stamp duty as you would if you were buying a Alston Apartment as a normal owner occupier. Quantum will COVER ANY ADDITIONAL stamp duty on selected apartments.

For example, if you’re buying an Alston Apartment valued at $655,000 ; you would pay $28,018 in stamp duty, but with Quantum FHO Package we have you covered as you will pay $0 stamp duty for selected apartments.

To be eligible for the grant

  • The contract date must be on or after 1 July 2017
  • The home is a brand-new home
  • All FHOG applicants must be at least 18 at settlement or completion of construction
  • Your new home can be a house, townhouse, apartment, unit or similar, but it must be valued at $750,000 or less and be the first sale of the property as a residential premise
  • At least one applicant is a permanent resident or Australian citizen
  • Each applicant must be a natural person and not a company or trust
  • You (or at least one applicant) must occupy the home as your PPR for at least 12 months, commencing within 12 months of settlement or completion of construction.
